Current international students can meet with VIU advisors about matters such as academic success, housing, and personal issues. In addition, we offer the learning centres which include academic tutors, peer support, the writing centre, and the math learning centre.
Academic advising is available for undergraduate and ESL international students on the third floor of Building 200.

For current advising hours and how to book an appointment please see VIU International Hours. Hours are subject to change without notice. International students may also email immigration@viu.ca.
Students are encouraged to meet with their Degree Advisor early to declare their Major/Minors. VIU's GPS helps you look at options but is not an official declaration of your Major/Minors. You need to meet with your Degree Advisor to accomplish this. Degree Advisors can link you with enrichment opportunities relevant to your degree focus (experiential, volunteer, research, leadership, student development).
